complete bottom bracket with spindle etc
« on: January 31, 2015, 04:13 PM »
Is there a cheap complete set I could buy from somewhere?

I am going to try and get cheap new school frame and forks and built another bike with all the bits you have in the shed! I have a set of salt plus crank arms but some if the spindles I have seen are 25quid!

Thanks :daumenhoch:

When you say complete BB, in new school terms that's just bearings and washers normally.

Axles are normally designed with the arms in mind so will be a splined shaft with a certain number of splines.

Be better to get a whole set of counterfit cranks and BB from BMX city for £35

I thought they were universal :LolLolLolLol:

I had salt plus arms on my bike and changed to another make in chrome and they both fit.

Think the complete set sounds a better option :daumenhoch:

was just luck the two crank sets used the same spindle

check the bottom bracket size of the frame too ,  ns frame will probably be either mid or spannish size , and you'll need a bb for the spindle size on the crank set usuallly 19mm,  but may be 22mm ,

as Rob says BMXC counterfit cranks  sets  are real good value , the stark crank set is a steal  for the price, both have the option to buy with a bb  :daumenhoch:
