BITD bike shops
« on: January 29, 2015, 09:21 AM »
Well I've been looking on and off since 2004 for pics of the bike shop I used in the 80s. I started looking due to a thread that was on here regarding BITD shops. I cant find it as I wanted to add these pictures.  Anyway after seeing a pic one day of a shop down south I thought I'd try again looking for the shop or the owner. A search on Facebook for the name Armstrong brought up the owner Colin. I messaged Colin with no reply, next step was to look through Colins friends called Armstrong. I found his grandson who suggest I contact his uncle Christian who helped out in the shop. This I did and the result is these pictures. I spent lots of time in this shop and a row of bikes was a common sight on a Saturday. A huge thanks to Christian Armstrong for taking the time to dig out these gems......some good memories here

I have this on Facebook aswell, the ex owner is stunned at the response to his old shop. He is an ex pro road racer from the 70s so he loves bikes. He is on the search through the albums and family for more pics. He is sure he has some inside shots from when the shop was set up for BMX
