Anybody posted out a complete bike recently? I would just like to get a rough idea of what I should expect.

I would prefer to use Parcel Force as I have never used anyone else $:-\$

I have always shied away from these companies, scared of losing anything. You hear so many horror stories with cheap couriers $:-\$

Parcel2go finds the best prices from all the main couriers and more. You still get to choose who you wanna use... TNT, Parcelforce and all that.

senditnow.com is parcelforce online, about £15

It's hard to recommend a courier as they all lose/damage parcels, google most reliable UK courier and you see loads of shit about them all.

Pack it up well and make sure it's insured for the right amount

if you insure it for what its worth then you get stung on taxes when it arrives here.

Personally if its tracked I always ask for it to be marked as a sample under $35 dollars

If it's a high value item i always use parcel force , I have just sent a cruiser frame and forks insured to £500 on Parcelforce 48 but it cost £31.70

It all depends what risk you and the buyer are prepared to take and where you both stand if it does go awol

For all the bad press they get i've sent over 100 parcels with Herpes and they've all turned up so far.......

I use Myhermes all the time. Like Bfellows said iv'e done around 50 - 60 parcels with no issues. and the drop off shop is walking distance from my house.

I use my herms all the time but this week they have fooked up a bit but hay one parcel out of a lot is not bad. Still better than royal mail

Give SuperBikeDan a PM Terry but pretty sure he uses inter parcel from memory. He 's sending stuff out all the time so would think he'd be the guy to ask.

my hermes won`t ship bikes complete as too big for what they send and service from them is ok , make sure you get a signature as they leave stuff just outside these days and i had one item go missing as they lost it . been 20 days now and still waiting for refund .
parcelforce is ok and same as above they do lose stuff so make sure it`s insuranced as madness to ship something without value declared just to save you a few quid .
send it now is just a company that gets a cheap deal from parcelforce

I always use Parcel Force, insure stuff for the right amount and charge the buyer accordingly or take a slight hit on postage in return for a happy customer if they've ordered a lot from us previously. I think if stuff's insured it's flagged up as such and they possibly take more care with it.

www.postagesupermarket.com is a good one.
