It could have been filed down.The angle of the clamp looks a bit off due to the weld build up underneath.Also looks like the rear top stays must have snapped off &
have been welded back on at some point.Panda weren't noted for neat welding but haven't seen any that bad so it deffo looks like a quick fix as was common w/a lot of rides this early.Dad's having a go at welding to fix their kids bikes after being thrashed at the track!  :LolLolLolLol:

No pressure Jay, just saying if you're gonna send it to Dan for a new coat & considering the price you paid for it,it might be worth getting the gusset fixed.
Or leave it as is if you so wish.  :daumenhoch:

I've pinged sawzall a pm but looks like he hasn't been on for a while...race plate on the thruster looks awesome by the way. Managed to score some forks for it as well... :daumenhoch:

Still a long way off on this one build, need to get rear sorted. Picked up a takahashi proma for it.
