Mongoose Californian - Handlebar advice
« on: January 08, 2015, 09:11 PM »
I'm building a Cali up for my lad at some point this year , and I'm going to need some bars .

I've scanned through loads of pics and most have Pro Class fitted . Apart from these or Renthals , can anyone recommend a suitable alternative that would look right on a Cali , so I can broaden my search.

He's 10 , so pro sized bars would probably be too big . I have mini Renthals on his Minigoose , so maybe I should look to just get some expert sized ones ??

Thanks for the reply , thought I was going to have to ask my stupid question on facebook along with all the others on there  ;D

The GT bars do look good and have a suitable rise for him , but at 28" , I think they would probably be a bit too wide

Am I wrong in thinking expert sized bars are generally around 26" wide and pro sized around 28" ??

Win would be good. Go for Expert size and they should be a fair bit cheaper than the Pro.  :)

I have a set of CW Pro on a Mongoose.  :daumenhoch:

These any good?

Hsin Lung CW Expert size.

Thanks for the link and pic , your goose looks good with the CW's  8) The width is about right for my lad , but they are a little tall I reckon .

The GT bars mentioned above , have a rise of 5.5" (which is good) and a width of 28" (which isn't) ....... I may just 'modify' these a touch if need be ?

Thanks again  :daumenhoch:
