Redline - Help!
« on: August 18, 2006, 11:32 AM »
Hi there

I picked up this Redline frame a while ago with the intention of restoring it, I know very little about this bike and was wondering if anyone could help me out with what model it might be and what year it was produced?

cheers

This is a RL340 I picked up for nothing. Tri moly and not worth much.

the 340's and 480's were great no nonsense framesets
good construction, good angles and a trusted brand.

the 340 was basically a 240 without the platform, and with the race forks (no peg cutouts)
i'd place that 340 of yours around the 97-98 timeframe

thanks for all the info provided, picked this frame up for practically nothing to salvage some good quality GT components which were on it at the time - not sure what to do with it at the moment but might get the chrome removed and have it powder coated.
