Alreet lads  :)

Has anyone got any info on the custom riders RGD brand stuff?
Pics, magazine scans, ads, personal memoirs, anything that could help me piece together a timeline on their rotor/gyro setup.

It seems there were possibly at least 2 gens, one with a possible twin cable setup  ???

Oh and if anyone has seen this dinky stainless steel seatclamp before please chime in too  :)

Thanks guys  :daumenhoch:

Thanks to Bodamus  :daumenhoch: i recieved this rotor yesterday and the first thing that struck me was the quality of engineering. Its well above the usual acs type stuff and there is even a turned oilon insert ring to make the whole thing run smoother.
Oilon is an oil impregnated nylon and distinctive in its dark green colour  :)

Im wondering if it may be related to the RGD stuff as it has similiar traits in the internal collar and the under headset mounted lower cable guide. This one has has the guide machined in a bearing race shape to accept the headset race cup and locks in place with 3 allen key grubscrews.

The top cable guide lock on the stem shaft in the same manner.

Thoughts gents?

Could this be Eds long sought after Speedwheels spinner? the later model apparently had a built in stem stiffener and looks to have a collar under the headset and under the stem?

I had the earlier version but it looks very much like a Speedwheels one.

Does it have that nut on the side of the rotor?

You need to shoot Mark Munnyella a PM - I think he knows the guy who used to run Speedwheels  :daumenhoch:

Its certainly looking that way bud.  :)

I didnt think it would survive the wd40 scrub but i had another look at it last night and you can just make out an area that is less tarnished in exactly the same place as the Speedwheels decal  :daumenhoch:

also on closer inspection of the black and white ad you can just make out a grub screw in the top cable guide.

which seems to be a good match to this.

Happy days, Makes a change not having to search in vain for months for something  :LolLolLolLol:
