MK15 . . . GUTTED!!!

I cant believe it! We booked a cottage in Devon leaving on Saturday 22nd August. I’m going to miss MK15.
After reading about it on FB last year I drove over from Cambridgeshire with my two children. After almost two hours and bribes of ice creams the kids had had enough so I returned the 40 miles home thinking what an awesome event and great people. Within an hour of arriving home I loaded up my BMX leaving the wife and kids returning to Milton Keynes.
I then spent the rest of the day / evening riding the ramps, around the lake and got involved with the banter and BS to follow. I returned home around 9.30pm shattered but thrilled at the day.
I’d planned to come for the weekend, camp, ride and make more friends but it’s not to be

It has crossed my mind Ed . . . . I may just come on the Saturday and suggest we drive through the night 'to miss traffic'.

I surfaced long enough to read this....

My once-in-a-lifetime expedition to dive the shipwrecks of the Normandy D-Day Landings was booked in 2013 for 2015, and was done based in MK dates at that time.

 

Can't be helped, and it is a shame, but I ain't gutted. Shit happens. 

It is nice to think I might be missed, though, and at least I won't lose three hours of my life riding around at two in the morning looking for Wini!
