MONGOOSE GRAND PRIX on a budget
« on: August 25, 2006, 06:38 PM »
I have had a quiet week this week, too many people away on their holidays (lucky sods)

I nearly finished my RL20 this week and I had a mongoose grand prix frame sitting there which I bought at MK for £25..

I had a look round and had almost all the parts needed to build it, do I did all in just under £120..
Thanks to Tony BMX 796 for the grips, brake and bars
Matdub for the wheels (they are quality)
oh and the padset was a raffle prize from MK

 What do ya think

No Dave, they were a spare pair from tony bmx 796, so they could have been yours if youve had a trade with tone....

Thanks for the close-up..... looks like the cameras macro had a hard time. I'm trying to make this sticker... its the font for the 'Grand Prix' and the general wording that I just don't know.....I know its different from a cali sticker but getting a picture is not so easy as its not such a common bike which I think makes its more special.....

Thanks again though....

Does anyone know if there is a definitive list of mongeese produced with dates etc....

I get very lost as to when each bike / style was produced? I know the names passed though the ages but when did my 84 expert style end? Was it 86?

I have not found such a list and it would be usefull for rebuilders to refer to. I don't have the knowledge to start one off but if anyone does it would be much appreciated. .....
