Did they manage to chrome the disc Dan  ???

Rims look tidy mate  :coolsmiley:

It will be ready tomorrow Joff, so time will tell. All I know is, I'd they pull it off, then they'll be getting more work off the Northern RADsters.  :daumenhoch:

Cool ....... they can't make as bad a job of it as Hutch did  :D
WANTED : Old school BMX patches/sew on badges ......  please  :)

Great thread.
I did the spoke reno thing and it is mind-blowingly boring, but when you get the wheels back you appreciate them more for the work that went into them.  :)
Looking forward to seeing this finished.  :daumenhoch:

Fingers crossed they do a good job Dan. Mine's still at the chromers (not that i really need it for a build now anyway, as i've had a change of direction with the cranks)

I've had a message on FB from Niphos, to say it's done Andy, fingers crossed that's it's been done to a good standard. I'm picking it up tomorrow along with the wheels.

I've also taken the Tange BB and Sugino crank from my GT Pro for this as they're both rechromed items, so will add to the effect better.

Just picked the power disc up from the chromers, great result, as you can see. Came at a price though.

Cheers Ant, the mintyness of the power disc shows up the not so good chrome work on the Sugino chainring.

Sadly, this project and getting it done for Chester in 2 days, has fallen at the final fence due to my wheel builder not getting around to doing the wheels yet, and won't be able to until Saturday.

That's a real shame mate... It will look amazing when it's done !
I new my GHP would never be ready for Chester so I slowed down with the intention of it being perfect for the London ride!  ;)

Oh, it will be there Brett, I've spent too much time, money and effort to get it to where it is today, do I've just borrowed some wheels off my GT.

Just the chain and brake to sort tomorrow.

I've just given this a wipe down, fitted the chain, adjusted the caliper, tightened every nut and given it a whizz around the block.
