GHP decal clarity
« on: January 04, 2015, 06:40 PM »
Calling all GHP experts.

I have researched but am struggling to get clarity on the time line of GHP decals for 83 and 84.

Looks like the F&F decals were available in a couple of colours. All red or the Yellow / Orange / Red graduated with the seat tube and headstock corresponding with either all red G, H and P or Yellow G, Orange H and Red P for the graduated.

Now to confuse me even more the seatpost options seem the same as the headstock.

I read somewhere that the signature on the LH fork leg was only for a certain year before it became the same as the RH leg with graduated colour.

That leaves just bars.

Now I am totally lost there. Is there any master out there who can clarify?  "help"

Many thanks and Happy New Year.

OK lets check my understanding. Having lost Andy Diamonds mail (maybe your reading Andy, please get in touch) I will make a proposal with a couple of questions.

Photo's copyright of the owners.

Option 1 Solid Red
With a couple of left fork leg options, I am not sure where the second from bottom right would go, bars I think.

Option 2 Solid Yellow through Red
Again options for fork.

Question 1. Which came first as here is a link to a survivor picture of an 84 complete.

http://www.bmxsociety.com/topic/57561-survivor-bmx-bikes-1995-earlier/?p=526211#

Now to top that off what about this seat post decal?

Question 2. Where does this decal fit in the mix before, after? Is it the last lot made?

I know so many questions for the New Year but hopefully somebody can clarify.

Cheers for taking the time.  :)

Dunno if it helps but here's a pic which could be 83-early 84:

Also Greg is coming over to do some coaching clinics this year if you want to ask him.

Thanks a lot. Any ideas about the coloured with lines through. Was that an option?
Cheers
