This seemed like such a good idea at the time - after a conversation in a pub with some mates about the bikes we've owned I thought for nostalgia I'd have a look online for any pictures of the bmx I had back in '83 (and was made to sell to make way for a racer - only one bike at a time! What sort of rule is that?) Now I find I've joined this forum and I'm trawling the web hoping I can bag myself a Silverfox to build up. I think this could escalate quickly! Although maybe it's not as expensive as the other mid life crisis options? (He says hopefully)

there was 1 floating about on poobay. there are 2 silverfox owners i know myself on here and others come up . not impossible.

The odd one comes up on ebay every now and again. Prices are usually ok too.

To purchase one complete in excellent condition would be about £447.69 & to build one would cost about £2169.31

There's a few of us into MT Racing BMX. Have a look in the museum section for MT Racing. Nathans (macmania's) collection in particular is amazing. I just have the 2, a Fox SE and a Superfox. My Superfox frame & fork was about £50. Rick1970 on here bought a Superfox recently on ebay for a very reasonable price. They are out there

£50 was a good buy Andy!
I paid a bit more than that, but I did get an original saddle with it

Dancetothedrummersbeat, I had a look at Macmania's collection. He's got a pic of a frame and forks with red decals - just like my old one. Now that would be nice to have!
