Peregrine/Suzue Axle Types Guide
« on: December 19, 2014, 07:44 PM »
Came across a few Peregrine/Suzue axles as I'm rooting through my stuff to build the old Platform Dirtbike. Thought I'd pop this up as I've got a fair few hubs and axles, and always wondered if the axles had been swapped out for replacements. Yes, it's dull as fook, but if anyone's got anymore variants/info to add (as in I'm probably wrong  ;D ), post it up. These are all fronts, as the rears seem to follow the same pattern. They're also all 3/8" axles - I can pop up the slotted Phat Jacks and King cone kits as well if ya like.

A = 80's/early 90's 'slotted' axle. Precursor to axle 'B'. Not socketed peg friendly.
B = 'Factory' axle. Came on the complete hub when bought. Have a rough large hole on one end of the axle. Still on hubs into the early 2000's. These sometimes have a ground out bit on one side of the threads.
C = Peregrine branded replacement axle kit. Rounded finish on both ends of the axle.
D = Standard Byke Co heat treated replacement axle. Smaller and more regular hole on one end of axle compared to axle type B. Guaranteed against breakage.
E = Stuart King (King Bike Co) axle - chromey and comes with springs/cone replacement kits.
