I'm not a welder? What you on about? Lol I was trying to replicate the TIG welds but with a mig, so pulse welded that bit, the rest of the welds are all seam welded and smoothed to give the look of continuous solid tubing, and all the joins are sleeved internally and plug welded each side of the join like in the 1st few pics.

If you have a problem with what I'm doing, or how I choose to weld my frames, then please don't bother to post on my thread. I've rode all my bikes fairly hard that I've welded and all are fine and very solid.

I was an NDT inspector ultrasound, radiography, LPI and MPI and I learned really quickly slagging of a welders welds doesn't go down well , look great to me buddy always enjoyed watching your creations on FB keep em coming long as they low end bikes you chopping

Judging by the heat and penetration of your welds I'm pretty sure you know exactly what your doing.
Nice work buddy. Looks great.

Coasty, I'm liking your post, simply for the use of the word penetration.  :)

Lewis, keep up the good work mate, BMX is BMX.  :4_17_5:

Crazy thread fella, not sure if I'm for or against this sort of thing.

Thanks for the positive feedback guys, I've got another 2 frames lined up, 1 for a customer, and one for myself, not sure if to convert my one though as it would make a nice haro sport look-a-like, very similar style frame, but also ideal for another TT conversion. I'm undecided yet, will see how it feels/rides before I decide anything :)

I wouldn't chop up summat rare or valuable, just low end frames, or frames I've picked up for cheap :)

Got a slingshot frame build in the pipeline now, just need to sell my blue twin top Bmx to help fund it :) got more customers coming forward for custom frames too, the start of a small business venture I think! Happy days!

Great idea and skills there!  :4_17_5: I will be needing some minor work done to a set of bladed fork dropouts, and to cut down a long chainguard. Can i give you a shout sometime? I'll pay for your time/skills and materials of course.... :daumenhoch:
