Hi can any of you help?
I won this on Rad but seller neither myself know what it is?
The closest thing I can find is its very similar to a type of Redline Seatpost but this ones unstamped and been slightly cut down. As you can see, the welds and chrome quality don't suggest cheap import copy so what is it?
Thanks

Great, tank you!
How would I know? There seems no defining features apart from the shape.
I'm sorry ELF brand escapes me at mo, Mebbe in just forgetful but it's not ringing any bells tonight? Is this good? I quite like it tbh.

It don't think it is an Elf post, the Elf posts were very similar the top tube was hollow.

The Zip post had knurling on the end

Yup you beat me to it!
Mines not knurled, at a slightly upward angle and the front bit has a slight curvature to it just like the redline equivalent.
That ELFs fekkin HUGE!!!

Upward facing and flat?
It's weird to be true to be true?
Quite like the post tho.

Funny you should say that?
I'm putting it on this GT. But don't GT usually stamp their stuff too?

lol. Yer, that's lekky tape to mark the official safe insertion off another post. But there's plenty of tube below the seat stay at that position in the pic.
Hoping there'll be enough room for me when it's done.

If so, it would be called an RL "Hammerhead" seatpost  ---- first appeared in 98, and apparently stamped from the start

It's a crisscross pattern cut via a tool onto the metal surface to improve clamp grip. Most BMX handlebars had this as standards to prevent bar slippage which us bmxers is extremely dangerous!
Hope that helps.
