Radial Spoke Lacing...
« on: November 25, 2014, 11:20 PM »
I know ther's a few threads on here about Radial lacing...

My question is , when was this first done...

I'm building 1984...

So if it was first seen say in 86, i would not do it...

Anyone know the dates... ???

Thanks in advance...

I don't know when it first started but I had an 1982 og mini bike and that had a radial spoked front wheel from new so definitely 82 or earlier , looks cool the radial wheels

I did a lot of research into radial lacing when I was putting together my 76 DeCoster.  I wanted radial front and 1/2 radial rear but wanted to make sure somebody had done this to an early BMX.

Found out that Dave Clinton used radial lacing in 76/77, which is good enough for me.

We were doing radial spoking at Heff's in 1981
