Nice Goose mate,Mongoose stem as well ,that is a great find,gives us all hope they are still out there.
Strange it has been re stickered as a Supergoose.
What are the bars ?

Only got as far as its not a supergoose as stickered but just a normal mongoose 1980 build year $:-\$

I did not notice the supergoose decal until someone mentioned it.

Did the person selling it at the boot fair say anything about the history of the bike?

I'd agree with Nick above cook bros they do repros now but judging by the bike it doesn't look like it's been touched for years so I'd say they are right

After a little nosey on google seems you guys are right they look lke cook bros bars I am gonna try get the grips off at some point see if there are any markings

Yes they are Cook Bros bars and very rare what a great find.

Strongs Bicycles was in Palmerston Road in Boscombe/Bournemouth.

If you don't mind me asking,where are you from and where did you find it?

I stand corrected,yes they are welded quite high aren't they,I presumed that if the bike was original they would indeed be Cook Bros bars as they are from that era?

I have had a good look at the bars tonight and can't see any names on them and they have been cut down the welds are neat but wouldn't say amazing

and there is a small lump in between the mongoose stem so would only really fit that type of stem $:-\$
