Not particularly rare, unless you mean white Pro Pads which are probably the hardest to find Pro pads. Expect to pay £80+ for a pair of those or c.£20 for a mint pair of Tuff Pads.

X2

I would personally say white Tuff pads are the hardest colour to come by in mint/NOS condition. I am not sure if it is because no one will sell them or, there are in fact just not many sets left about.

Price wise, they can range from £45 per pair to £100 for a complete set in the packets.

There is complete set here in the packets for $65 (£42 to us here in the UK).

Expect him to over charge on the postage though and he will put the exact price on them, thus you paying a customs charge when they arrive. If you want them, let me know as I can help out on that for you  ;)

The price is all relevent Chris. If you lived in the US, you would be paying $65, just like paying £65 in the UK. Just because of the dollar to pound exchange rate, it makes it cheaper for us in the UK. Until you add postage and customs of course  :)

I take your point about exchange rates distorting value.

As for "relevant", I think you mean "relative", having lived and started companies in the UK and US, $65 in the US most certainly isn't the same as £65 in the UK.

It may be slightly cheaper to find a set of the original tuff freestyle blocks, but they are still hard to find-especially any that are actually anywhere near white even when nos in packets! ....It's a bit like trying to find a white set of 80's tuffs that are actually white!Alternatively you are more likely to find a set of kool stops which look exactly the same except they say 'kool stop' instead of 'skyway' and are more likely to be whiter....and cheaper! I have seen original white tuff blocks you are talking about for sale at £100 for 4 before....The ones Terry is talking about are a bargain imo as they rarely come up.  :daumenhoch:

If there the Tuff pads i think you're on about, then they are rarer than rockin horse poo!!  I scored these 4yr's ago from the States.

They look yellow'd in the pics but that's just  the plastic packaging, as i scalpel'd open slightly to look inside and they where minty white :).  I sold them to a fellow radster about 2yr's back for £110 .

Wish i had kept them now, as i have acquired some white alloy hubbed tuffs a few months back :'(.

Buz :daumenhoch:.

With the White Tuffs I've used those White DC blocks as an alternative. Seem to work ok and don't leave marks on rims.
