ACE Holeshot
« on: November 19, 2014, 11:44 AM »
Hey guys, I'm not too sure whether many of these frames made it over to the UK in the mid to late 90's, but they were a pretty rare site down here in Australia BITD. I recently saw this advertised on another forum, and I gave it a total of 30 seconds of thought before I called dib and made it mine.

When I was thinking about how it was going to build it and which parts to fit, I decided that i wanted parts that would compliment the straight lines and the beefiness of the box tubed frame.
With that in mind, a pair of Profile cranks wouldnt do, so i decided to fit we're the JAD cranks and stem as they pretty much mimic the straight lines of the frame.
To keep the theme going I opted for a set of Answer Alumilte forks, DK 4 pce bars and Crupi square pedals which I think added a bit more continuity to the  frame and the direction I wanted to build the bike. Finally I found a set of ONZA Canti brakes and as you can tell they're pretty beefy brakes and just look tough as hell.
Anyway I'm pretty stoked with how it turned out and here is a few pics.

Looks great!

I think it needs some different rims, maybe some Odyssey T-1000 with red flames

Cheers fellas,

Yeah it's awesome to ride. The angles were originally based off a Free Agent Limo, so it has a 21" top tube and about a 14" back end. Ive only taken it on some light rides around the streets, but i can manual into next week on it.

Came back for another look and now wondering if they made a padset for them? Would take a lot of foam to go round all that  ;)
