well they keep drawing me back in...

and I must say I love fooking burners....

over the last few years ive dabbled in old, mid and new school bmx

trickstars, scorpion, powerlite, morales and kappa and a fair few burners....

but I thought it was time I built one of my grail burners ...with a little twist .... 

around 1987 on the cul-de- sac were I lived a couple of kids I new had burners

mk1 tuff , team mag  and this

1987 solar yellow styler mag.... I was in love.....

to be honest there a run out burner model re named '' styler ''
crap spec ......so

I decided to build my own version

with this as my base....

a mk2 ultra burner

(this is not the bike I used)



but I did find a mk2 ultra burner  frame and fork on ebay and manage to find some cw twin top tube freestyle bars

that I sent to sbd to have a new coat of solar yellow paint





while dan was painting I started collecting all the other bits...

as Its a custom I decided to draw up my own decals for it....

got the frame back from dan on Monday... WOW...

and got stuck in to building it....









she's almost there now just waiting on a takagi crank....

As you know Tommy, I've seen this already in RB.com, but I'm so glad you've posted it up on  .

Whether you like Burners or not, this is a BMX, and a quality custom job as well too Tom.

Only just come across this thread, may i say that is a top job well done , i do like a burner as my one and only bmx was a mk1 Extra Burner . I always hankered after a mk1 Super Tuff Burner .  I'm really liking the choice of colours you used, it's always nice to see something that's a break from the norm.

That's turned out lovely Tommy, great colour and build, I've made this clear so many times, for me every old school bike is worth restoring and again I give it 110% doesn't matter if it's a top end Hutch or any low end frames the out come for the customer is always important to me
