Sadly not! This is the only pic I can find which I know isn't great lol.
From what I can make out looking at the original pic the crank arms have a "stamped out" rather than flat finish with writing in them. Obviously I can't make out the writing says!!
Similar to these that don't have any writing. [ Attachment: You are not allowed to view attachments ]

They look like Anlun or Hanabishi alloy cranks

Can you get a better scan of that picture?  Maybe a higher number of pixels (height x width)?  It's just too small to see the details of the arms but my money is on Anlun.  I'll have a look through my mags to see if I have an advert for the cranks I think they might be  :daumenhoch:.

Unless you changed the cranks I'd be surprised if they were Japanese as MT's were Taiwanese and used Taiwanese parts, do look very similar to the Hanabishis could have been a copy of them.

Nice cranks Dinglem Hanabishis were the cranks I really wanted BITD, nearly bought a set a while back.

I use Photobucket and that's just the size the pics come out.

The cranks on the above Superfox (posted by rodriguez) are made by Tracer and are original to the bike.

Unless you have better pics i don't think you will ever know for sure what you had on BITD. Could be an upgrade crank (Anlun etc as already mentioned) or they could even be original cranks with original spider (or even aftermarket spider)  :chin:

One thing I would say is that it looks like the original Super Duralumin chainring is present.

For example my 83 Superfox came with a standard spider and TH Industries cranks which are original to the bike -

Here is a slightly better pic -

Are the spiders attached permently to the crank arm's?
I think the Tracer ones I have are?
The crank came on the bike so most likely not a Japanese crank I would guess!

The tracer cranks come as one piece. My TH Industries have a detachable spider  :daumenhoch:

Did the bike already come with the aftermarket crank, z rims and uni seat then ?

No it came standard but at time of purchase we did a deal to swap the wheels for Z Rims so never got the original wheels. At a later date the Uni seat/post where bought and then later still the bars where changed for what I think where CW bars. At some point mushroom grips where also added.
Crank was never changed and was what came with the bike.
It's the only part of my attempted rebuild that I guess I will never get to the bottom of!!!

As an after thought does anyone know where I could get a replica pad set. Basically just "chrome" and black check.....

Dunno mate. I got lucky as they came with my Birmingham WHEELS when I purchased it. Took me a while to find out what they were.... Pretty rare from what I have gathered.

They look like cal lite pads, you might have your work cut out getting chrome and black.
