Then do you need to factor in the length of the crank as well? I presume the longer the crank, the more leverage you'll get...so you can run a bigger front cog?So, if you're running a 36-16 on a 26" wheel with 170mm cranks, you could run a 39-16 with 175mm cranks? Does anyonw know an offical wheel size : front sprocket : back sprocket : crank length ratio/calculation?Confussed.
