New Dominquez Haro Sport ...
« on: November 02, 2014, 06:12 PM »
No doubt you have all seen these frame sets now in Chrome with the Chrome bars to match.

What's your thoughts guys,  19.75" TT looks decent for taller riders..

I have no freestyle bikes and didn't BITD... But ........  :( :smiley6600: .. I might be tempted to roll down to Alan for a chat very soon...

I know it's not 'blingy' but, you can buy this survivor '85 FST frame and fork for $175 (£115)

Postage to the UK is $75 (£48)

http://bmxmuseum.com/forsale/142687

By the time you have a laid a new chrome job it, it will still work out a little less than this re-issue one and it's a genuine 1985 frame and fork  :daumenhoch:

Personally, I would keep it survivor, the parts would be cheaper to get too  :)

Good consumer advice, as ever Terry, for anyone wanting to dip their toe in the Haro pond.  :daumenhoch:

Tried to buy it Tez but the seller was a bit of a thicko.

Couldn't get his head round me buying it then posting it to my pal in San Diego for some reason.

Just remembered why I never visit that site!

I know what you mean Mat. communication can be VERY difficult sometimes, even though we're supposed to be speaking the same language! I've had a few good buys and dealt with some great people on the museum recently though. Any more thoughts on this Darren? - Personally I'd go for the original one, but I love a project and the dramas that go with it!!

It looks nice Darren but if was spending £400 on a frame and forks i think i would rather have an original 80's one .

A nice survivor one sold today on here for £375 , it was a White one though ...  http://www.radbmx.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,178326.0/topicseen.html

Having said that I love my Skyway TA24 but the chances of me getting the real thing from the 80's was slim to none  :D

It's your cash mate , spend it how you want  :daumenhoch:

WANTED : Old school BMX patches/sew on badges ......  please  :)

They should've gone full new school with it, new geometry, 21" TT and internal headset.  Might've been tempted myself then

yep as pickle says why 19.5 as still too short and you might as well ride a original as they were only 18 inch if your using it for a ride around as you wouldn`t use one of them for new skool as your be banging your knees .
pointless and another cash in on old skool bmx

To be fair it looks great in chrome .... Its personal choice and price ... If Alan is giving you a good price  then go for it but as others have said for £400 I'd rather get an original but you're unlikely to find one in chrome ....

Where you at now on this Dazza?  :daumenhoch:
