I really like this custom Goose, always come back for a second look

Always wondered, when it gets going is the disc brake stopping power any good?

Mongoose should model a 26" Beach Cruiser on this

The detail and engineering you've put into this is quality, and the graft you've put in has easily paid off.

I only had a 1 hr window of sunshine to get photo's in for the bmx build off on the museum because of bad weather, I have entered in the OPEN class, could you guys have a look at the pictures I have posted and please give me any negative feed back if you noticed something I haven't, their are some good background shots from other entries.
One photo is needed for the calendar shot (the money shot) I like Mikes race plate pic but didn't get the right pic in time and the fences in the background spoil it.
I'm hoping that votes will be classed on the bike and not the background if you know what I mean.
The weather is pants and only had that hour with the sun to shine off the nickel plate!
I'm not going to get anymore pics done so do I swap one of those pics i've entered for the race plate pic ?

Hi John,the bike looks trick as fook bro!

As for the plate pic,unfortunately the fence does kill it compared to the pics on the Museum.

Also due to the fact that you don't have pads the lower zip ties are pulled too tight which is making the plate bend inwards (as the stem is further out than the bars w/out pads).

Plates always look better slightly bowed out especially Hot plates.It's the crossbar pad that creates this by pushing the plate out but this can be achieved w/out pads by not pulling the lower ties too tight & sliding the bar ends of the plate more towards the bends to create the bow.

Seems a shame not use a pic of the plate after all that effort so why can't you take any more pics dude?

Not enough time to get the pics in unfortunately , see what you me about the plate, need a bar pad, i'll sort it, and put the, i'll get a red mongoose pad and leave the stem and frame bare and fit it properly, looks trick with the plate fitted.

Don't you have till the 8th to post up pics? The bike does look better w/the plate on as it gives it more Mojo & personality.Also the bars look a bit too forward on the museum pics.Just being honest.

The time,effort & money you put into this is huge dude & seems a shame not to get the pics right. $:-\$
This truly deserves a spot in the calendar & it should be solely about the bike
but the Yanks do go for a pretty pic so presentation counts a lot.

I thought that with the bars but they are dead up right, probably just the angle of the pic.
I may try and do some more pics next Saturday, can't get time off work and dark when I leave for work and dark when I get home.
I have the choice of a white cali lite pad, a red cali lite pad or a black vinyl popper pad.
Do you think the seat post could do with going down an inch as well ?
Also with the race plate where is the correct position of the tie wraps ? just before the decals ?

I'd go w/the black vinyl pad & dropping the post an inch will deffo look better.Also pull the rear wheel back a tad further so the chain is tout w/ no slack.
I'd also lose the donuts for the pics as the red .5's look better w/out IMHO. Yes put the ties just before the decal or use velcro ties so you don't damage the decal.

I haven't bought one yet and the black vinyl pad is in the States and not going to make it in time

so you haven't got a black vinyl one then?!!
Someone should have one on here or a red one.Put up a wanted ad.If you're stuck LMK & i'll knock one up for you. Or just bow the plate w/out pads like i mentioned before.

Just mount the top ties first then adjust the bottom ties so the plate doesn't bend inwards & has a nice curve to it.The same goes w/the pads mounted.

If I was going to use it for down hill I would have fitted a front brake, here are my reasons for not fitting one:

1. Motomags mostly had just a rear brake.
2. Don't need a front brake for wheelies.
3. Cost of the hope brake set up.
4. Didn't want to weld a tab to a nice clean looking fork.

I do like a front brake on a build but these reasons swayed my decision at the welding stage.
