They are an off white colour from new not white sort of an ivory colour in sure bleaching would bring them up but they won't every be white white as they were creamy white from new best thing I found to clean them was a scouring pad and a powder cleaner like vim (showing my age there)

My Mike Buff rims had been lightly sanded by their previous owner to brighten them and remove minor scratches. This destroyed the Mike Buff signature/Z Rim logo, but they came up a nice bright almost white. Maybe shave a very thin layer off, then buff (pardon the pun) with 1000/1500 wet & dry paper

i always think they look better as they were, the same with old white Tuffs.  much prefer them left a creamy colour from age rather than bleached

I would agree with you Rob  :daumenhoch:

As Glenboy says, they are ivory from new, that's what seperates them from white Z rims and everybody knew you had Buff Z's when the logo had worn away.

I would sell them on and buy some white ones, not ruin them by trying to sand the life out of them, in opinion that is  :)

i doubt bleaching them or soda blasting them would do any good anyway as they are the same colour all the way through  :daumenhoch:

Sounds like swapping them would be the best option. I'm not sure which are more desirable, white or Mike Buffs?  :-\

Hi. Unfortunately they've now been completely sanded down and dyed blue! They are the rims on my avatar picture. They were too far gone as Mike Buff Zeds when i got them. The logo/signature had almost completely gone. Sorry i can't help!

Red should take ok I would think. There are a few threads in the tech & resto/tech sticky section on how to do it. I found that RIT powder dye worked much better than Dylon. Here's a link to my Z rim resto thread
