I have a nice seat with a ropey looking seat post, but I also have a pair of NOS UNI seat posts, one of which is the graphite version in black and the other is a red Uni-glass version. Just considering changing out the seat posts really and wondering if it is possible.

The integrated UNI seat posts are narrower 13/16 or 21mm and require a shim, i've a feeling the standalone seat posts are regular size 22.2 so won't fit the seat.

UNIs without a shim are perfect for loopy Rippers.

normal size for a hammer head seat post is 13/16ths, not sure about the posts you have but they may be 7/8ths ?

Just to confuse you even more, my Pro-14 Hammerhead is 7/8. Shimless!

I remember I had the same BITD and I cracked the bond between the seat and post. My mate worked in a coblers so I took it in and he glued it with some magic elf glue. Seemed to work from memory.
