So much snidey dealings happening on eBay at the minute.

A guy tried to sell a Mk2 Burner survivor on RB.com 2 weeks ago, he wanted nearly £500 for it. He was told by myself, and others that it was only worth £200-£250 max. The guy got proper pissed off and kicked off. Last week, the bike ended up on eBay, and sold on Thursday for £245 - so our price guess was thereabouts. Anyway, yesterday, I messaged the guy via eBay, as he was selling a T2 VW, of which there were pics of it with the Burner in the back. I asked him, if I bought the VW, would he include the BMX? He replied with no, but I could buy the Burner for £350.  :wtf:

So how comes it's for sale still, if it sold on Thursday?  ???

Bit naughty that, but these are the sneaky fookers you deal with if you're buying off the bay.  "nono"

It is true Dan  :2gunsfiring_v1:

I have had people bid on my items and go silent when it comes to paying, I also have people topping my bids to get the max price they can  :yahoo_silent:

I usually snipe my items with a 3 second snipe tool but like to bid sometimes as this gets others fidgety and they show their 'true colours' so to speak with what they are willing to pay.

Obviously this guy, I saw it on RB  ;D , thinks the bike is worth more and will keep 'shill' bidding and re-listing it to try and get that price   :uglystupid2:

I have noticed a lot of items lately selling for a affordable price, then you see it relisted a week later ,I was watching a Grifter a while back that was relisted about 5 times after it had sold every time.
So either there was shill bidding or he was unlucky with non payers.
Either way,EBay these days is a minefield which is why I rarely buy off it now.

Looking at the ebay description of the parts, and looking at the photos of the parts he hasn't described, I'd say that if it was split, it would be 'worth' approx £400 (if all the parts sold).

I've based that on an estimate of £100 for the F&F - not bad if it's been re-painted well and you WANT a white one.
Maybe £40 for the brake set up?
Seat £35-£40?
Seat post £20-£30?
Seat Clamp £10-£15?
Tuffs - can't see the reflector holes, so they look like the better versions - £50?
Tyres? don't know what they are, plus tubes & disce caps - £25?
Sugino Chainring £20?
Crank - don't know what it is. £20?
Pedals - same?? £15?
Bars, grips, stem & headset? £50?

That's if all the parts were to sell...
Seems expensive for what it is...
Any thoughts? Is my estimate way off?

A Mk2 f/f is around £60, then £50 for powder and £15 for decals, all probably bought and paid for by the seller, and each penny probably expected back by the seller.

Lot of dodgy things happen on ebay...

There was a GT PP (1984 Pre Stamp) on and i offered the guy £350 for the frame only...

He told me no way, he'd been offered £1250.00 for the complete bike...

It sold for £490

I notice no feedback on it, so i guess he still has it...
Wanted Green Oakley B2 Grips...Nos...

True Dan. A new coat of paint/powder doesn't necessarily bump the price up. A white frame is worthless if you're doing a night burner or whatever..
