Leeds 3rd Halloween Ride!

Hi all,

I am planning a Halloween ride in Leeds. This will be on Saturday 25th October.

We will be hosting sleepover riders as usual with priority given to previous guests. We always do our best to find a space for people but 12 was quite a squeeze last year!!!

The route will involve some hills, plenty of pubs, lots of photographic opportunities and of course a great ride. Lots of people have said the hills in Leeds are killers but no one has died yet and everyone keeps coming back!

The route is in the planning stage and I am open to input from previous riders and anyone who knows the area or has any specific requests for stops.

Parking will be available around my street and there are plenty of car parks in Leeds city centre.

Look forward to this Simon. I thought the Leeds ride where we went to the dry dock and then to the original oak was much better than the canal based ride. There were only a couple of small hills, they don't do any harm, just burn off calories and make room for the next pint.

I think this ride will be an adapted version of the Original Oak/Dry Dock ride.

Yeah but the roads even with hills are tons nicer to ride than the canal path, especially on freestyle tyres. Despite being hilly the dry dock ride had loads of stops and pubs, where the canal seemed to go on forever. Either way I'm looking forward to it.

@stevepeanut - You big geordie wuss!!  You love the Leeds ride and you know it!  It is the usual case of 'not enough riding' and 'not enough pubs' - the canal had a nice long ride then a good two hours at the pub!!!   

@clean - Yes you should make this ride.  If you want a stayover place and let me know early enough you can enjoy the ride and sample our hospitality, homebrew and the tortuous tale of the Toyota!!!!!
