Grown ups BMX, TNT cruiser!!
« on: January 29, 2015, 07:17 PM »
Dordy had this off Darren Woods a few years back, I believe he got it from the States.

Soon as I saw it, I asked Dave why he was riding MY bike, and the same every time I saw him on it after that.

Well, in the Autumn of 2014, got a text off Dave  offering it to me, He'd just snagged a TA, and like a lot on here, (me included) he was on a strict 1 in, 1 out policy (theoretically anyway!!)

I had a bit of a bad run at the end of last year, but luckily Dave kept it for me and I went to liberate it from Sheffield this morning.

I didn't ride BMX in the `90's, so have no idea about much of the offerings, this included, all I know is, I get a bit of a `bike twitch' when I look at it!!!

only thing i'd want to change is the seat post for an adjustable one (sawn off layback fusion jobby on it now) and maybe some pads and a plate, but don't know what would be right on it. Ideas/suggestions welcome.

Any idea what year it is??

I'm sure you'll agree, its fookin' lush!!

As Workshyfop points out, seat post sticker would make it 95 earliest, `over a decade, 1985 etc'

If the sticker is right, who knows??

Looks ace!
Does it have cantilever brakes? The 90s Sunn cruiser I recently got has got some modern features like 1&1/8 aheadset, V brakes etc but doesn't have modern geometry. It has a fairly slack head tube angle etc (didn't stop me giving a good bashing in the woods a few days ago).

We should maybe have a 'show us your cruiser' thread (unless there already is one and I've missed it! :-[ )

Is the TNT going to be a daily ride sort of thing or just for sunny days? It's really clean.

That's a stunning bike. I've had a go on it round dordy's pasture and i kid you not it's perfect. The geometry makes it feel very close to a 20"
Stiff wheels, good head angle, correct bb height. Put me down on the list of people who'd like to own it. I'd race it at MK if i get chance....
