I think the epiphany has started!
« on: October 24, 2014, 01:14 PM »
I've been off work this week and I've had time to realise what a bunch of shit some of these facebook BMX groups are.
I got on with Steph when I met him at MK a couple of years ago but my god, how hard done to is that prat?
And that filters down to some of the members of his group. When telling somebody that their POS Burner was worth f'kall I get lambasted and called a coont!
BMX Museum.com is a great site but the FB page is full of tossers who troll constantly. W@nkers.
The others I'm just bored of.

After reading the FB vs Rad threads on both sites, there is only one place to be and that is RIGHT HERE.

5 FB BMX groups gone this week.

Who knows what's next!
Who wants to ride with Eddie Fiola?

It's a common trend currently Nick with Burners. They were mass produced, made well and everyone remembers them, hence this is why a lot of guys starting out home in on them, they're cheap to buy, easy to resto, and there are plenty of spares and info available for people to use and also 2 very established Burner forums.

Just last week, a guy joined RB.com, and his first post was selling a 1984 Andy 'Ruffle' Team Burner, and he wanted £490 ono for it. The guy hadn't any pics, so I didn't really know what the bike was, so I kindly (as I do on here) explained that he need to add a pic or the Mods would remove.

He replied with 'How do I do that?', not 'Hi mate, can you tell me how to upload pics please, I'm new to this', so I guided him.

He obviously struggled, and no pics appeared, so another member kindly asked the seller to email him the pics, which he did, and the member added pics for the seller.

The bike wasn't a 1984 Andy Ruffell, which if had been a TAP would have been a fair price, it was in fact a 1985 Team Mag Styler - worth about £200-£250 tops, it had a lot of original parts replaced with cheap anomalies.

So, myself and another member kindly pointed out that his bike was worth half as much as he thinks it's worth, then he totally spat his dummy, and threw a barrage of abuse at me, then prompting Bright1975 to get involved in shooting me (just cos he's a troll).

I nearly fooked the forum off completely as a result, but thought, why the fook should I? I've been on there, and built Burners for 6 years.

I know exactly how you feel Nick.

It's comforting to know that you can always run back to the safe bosom of  :radbmxsmilie: to escape these throbbers.

Facebook has its place especially for particular manufacturers, you don't have to go on it and talk about what you had for dinner.

Just made me angry that my honest answer was greeted with such malice!

Group left now, he'll think he has the moral victory but I have my dignity...........FFS :LolLolLolLol:

Anyway I'm off into the cave for a few frames of pool and a San Miguel or 3.

Love you all :LolLolLolLol:

I love mk2 burners.....
Aero pro burners are ok , the rest are junk, I've had 4 BUDGIES, 1 x  BOXER and 3 GRIFTERS,
Sorry to Raleigh fans out there but when you've owned better quality bikes as well you can really see how bad they were made, especially their welds, cranks and bb's

I really don't care, those who know me know of my integrity.

He needs a focus to aim his conspiracy theories.

I pity him.
