Bars came up a treat our kid  :daumenhoch:
Sixteen thirty-two. What is that? A year?   No, it's your top score on Pole Position.

Bit more tinkering gone on. Fitted the crank & graphites back on even polished up the knackered old lock nut 😆😆. Seats on,replaced the straight post for an og VF lay back I had & chucked the brakes on too. The wheels & stem are next in the list & still wondering what to do about tyres 😉😉

Great find mate, and a great thread - the clean up is top notch! Obviously saw little use after replacement, probably shat himself after dropping off the Brighton sea defences  :LolLolLolLol:

Cheers Mr pitt, how my gen1 survived jumping off Blackpool sea wall I'll never know 😀😀
Fitted the bars on tonight along with the cleaned up og stem & ended up refitting the grips which came up ok after a scrub 😮😮😮. Had to change the tech 3's as 1 is badly cracked  so fitted some tech 5 lockers till I find another suitable l/h tech 3

Those bars are amazeballs; great job cleaning them up  :daumenhoch:

Looking pretty good now, tyre wise do you know if are you going for Tioga Comp ST's or Panaracers (or those Kenda ones that look like the old Panaracers)?

Hey Marty still on the hunt for tyres 😬
Ideally would like some lightly used og 80's ones but that looks like an impossible thing to find.....
Next best would be some of mr chop's kendas I suppose 😞😞

Comp ST's do come up from time to time, I have a pair here but they are going on my Haro when I get round to putting it together!

Got my white pannys, went for these for reliability, found some black cables & a great pair of blue tech 3's with a great home made locking button  :daumenhoch: . Blew 3 tubes up trying to seat the front tyre properly  :LolLolLolLol: need to stop fookin about with this weird midschool stuff & get my ass in gear to finish it off........

Finally thanks to Mrs & mini chubb watching I'm a celeb i've managed to do a bit on the vinny. Rummaged about for nearly an hour to find 2 blue n silver links to extend the chain. Replaced the front axle, obviously fitted the tyres which I think look great & tie in with the seat in a treat. Popped the tech 3's ( with home made locker ) on & fiddled about with the cables a bit. Unfortunately just like my gen 1 I can't run a potts cable because the cable won't pass between the bottom of the steerer tube & the tyre. The rear cable is designed to run inside the frame stander tube but the angle it comes out at is no good for smooth operation with the mx1000
