Tioga Tyre info needed please.
« on: November 12, 2014, 10:14 PM »
Hey,

Don't know much about comp 3's as I've always been more of a freestyle guy but & i'm looking for some advice.

I have a set of Tioga comp 3's (rainbow decal) from what I've read,  they look to have very minimal use by the looks of things & are a little dirty.

Most consumable rubber bmx stuff has been re-popped recently & I'm wondering did they re-pop these & if so how can you tell??

Not sure if this image helps or not ?

£50 - £70 seems about the going rate.  Sold my best set, mint NOS for £65.  I like them.

These rainbow label tyres date from 1992 - 1998. Blue/Green/Silver labels ran up to 1992, which these succeeded.

I would say Burt is bang on the money at £50 - £70.

The only tyres that Tioga have re-issued are the Mitsuboshi Yellow Label Comp III's. There is chatter about the Comp II, but we shall see  :daumenhoch:

Ah thanks for the info chaps,

I've had some of the re released yellow labels & they were really nice tyres but really didn't know anything about these . Doubt I'll be keeping them but it's always good to know what you have !  :daumenhoch:

Simple reason Andy, too many think because they are Tioga, they are old school 80's tyres and have paid premium asking prices for them. Now when they need or want to move them on, they ask the same price and find out they are in fact 90's tyres, and only worth around the £50 mark tops.
