« on: August 26, 2014, 10:24 PM »
Hey dudes as finding good chrome rims for our mid school builds is allways hard
Has anyone ever had any rims re-chromed?
Or had any rims de chromed but then mirror polished?

Can't see this being a problem if that's what you're asking. Get em stripped and polish the fookers.  :daumenhoch:

If you have some ally rims polished up, you could always get anodiser chick to clear coat anodise them to protect them.
Would give a great finish, and protection.
I've just had a tuf neck power disc polished and clear anodised.
Looks amazing, and is something I wouldn't of thought of doing until she suggested it. :daumenhoch:

I am in the same situation although the chrome on my front rim is pretty much non existant now. I would love to find a new pair of Alex Rims like are on it but it is never going to happen! Any tips on a similar rim? Here is a photo of the bike.

As you can see it's pretty flaky!

Have a look on the ebay store of bmxcity. They list the midschool rims on there, not their website.  :daumenhoch:

I had a black anodized primo hula hoop rim, stripped the anno with liquid drain cleaner. took awhile, turning the rim around with liquid in the bottom of tub. then polished with mothers mag and alloy polish. came up great.
