The top row is months. There is a dot above each number. Where the dots stop, or the number does not have a dot above it, that is the year. Equally, the bottom row is months. The number with the least amount of dots around it is the month

The dot on this one stops at '2'. The 3 has no dot making it 1983.

The one I have bought Terry has a dot above the 7 and the 8 , 9, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, have no dots above so this seat is a 79 and has no holes with glue residue where suede was stuck to it,
another question is what sort of suede do I need, faux suede or normal suede and do I use contact adhesive to fix it to the seat ?
