Mk1 s&m holmes resto

Turns out my mk1 s&m holmes frame needs some work!

I noticed a few issues with it so after stripping off all the paint it looks like this

Now here's the first part that needs repairing, nice crack halfway around the seat stay tube

On the underside of the chain stays there are two flat spot/dents

Also once stripped i found this repair (had and idea as i could kinda feel it through the paint work)

As you can see the dropouts and drive side chain stay have seen some action

So it looks like it has seen some street action in its life

The plan is to get it to Sawzall this week or the next for him to repair the crack and two dents

Not sure what im gonna do about the dropouts at the moment, may leave them as is

Have also posted this in tech & resto but i know a few of you don't go in there so i thought id put it here too

Sawzall sorted out a few dents in my Hwa Fong Daddy and did an awesome job.

not sure on colour, would like to know the og colour but if its yellow then its a no go as ive already got a yellow mk1 holmes

The red was more orangey so wont be going back to that particular shade

Have seen Sawzall's work and it is good so im happy for him to do it

Just got to wait for sawzall to do danny's and ed's stuff first

If I was getting the other stuff done I'd be inclined to get the drops fixed as well.
