What us OS riders are finding now is the real old stuff just doesnt cut it, mid school is the way to go ie SE assasin from Alans is a good start, Meddle swears by his. I got a 91 Haro with a nice long top tube and it makes a hell of a difference but also complies with OS rules.

That's why I bought the purple Hyper originally because of the 21" top tube but still 1" headset & caliper brake  :daumenhoch: . (Sly move but legal  :D )

I sold it to Bigplinky who I think has just sold it again  ???

The Assassin doesn't really qualify for OS races though, it has 1 1/8th headset and V brakes.  Solid ride though.

Hello mate, might have a '93 GT Fueller frame and forks for sale if I get the Robinson im after, you can see it in the MK pics (1359) it is very nearly an old school bike except for the rear brake (centre pull type) but apart from that it is old school, nice frame you can chuck about hapily. :)

I have seen a version of the frame that has 1 inch threaded forks and no V Brake mounts is that ok then??

Robinsons are very solid. I've just upgrades my Pro to a Pro XL.

I've tried to new school mine as much as possible within the regs. Makes it more suitable for our age/size.

Yeah, that would be okay.  Hersden is relaxed about the old school class, but not all tracks are.  I only race at Hersden so it's not an issue.

To be honest with you the 'Rules' are really just a 'Keep it in the spirit of things' so not really inforced as such.  :coolsmiley:
