LOL
always

depends on which models , there are a few different tuff 2 versions and each is priced differently according to rarity and desirability

same for graphites , different designs vary with age

Are you looking for new Skyways or are you asking about OG wheels?

OG means original buddy, from the early to mid '80's, with gold annodised alloy hubs.

They reproduced the Graphite Tuff's in, I think, 2009 or 2010 with sealed hubs. They are still reproducing them now but in limited numbers to try and keep them desirable.

ok tuff 2s came in a few different hub options dependant on when they were made
steel hubs
alloy hubbed front and rear
alloy hubbed rear , plastic hubbed front
plastic front and back

so colour will have an impact on price as some are more desirable than others

but lets say a black pair of tuff 2s alloy hubbed front and rear £ used condition 150 - 200  NOS ( new old stock) 300- 400

graphites from 7-800 to 2000 dependant on hubs etc campyu hubbed ones being the more desirable

It means an original part i.e. manufactured in the 80s

There are lots of Tuff 2s bud. Colour and generation all affect price, which are you interested in;
Steel hub 79
Steel hub with Skyway stamp 79-81
Alloy hub 82-84
50/50 (alloy hub rear / loose ball front) 84-85
Loose ball 85
Sealed (new)

There are 4 generations of Graphites but only the first 3 were made in the 80's:
1st gen 81
2nd gen 82-84
3rd gen (sealed) 84

1st and 2nd Gen Graphites are Campagnolo and command dollars

2 gen and 3 gen ?

Well a set of Gen 2's just went for $2k so c.£1600+ once you've paid all duties but someone must have really wanted them.
Gen 2s i'd say £900 - £1300
Gen 3s £600 - £800

Condition dependant...

What colour and what type are you after buddy?

Each colour pulls it's own asking price. Each condition too will pull it's own asking price.

I sold a NOS set of 2nd gen yellow steel hubbed Tuff's with coaster for £250. Blue are the most desirable and could fetch an asking price of £300, maybe more.

Alloy Tuff's are more desirable than steel hubbed Tuff's due to most people building bikes around 82 - 85 and NOS ones could fetch a bit more, say around £500+

It all depends who wants them at the time and what the seller is prepared to let them go for.

Get yourself a site supporter tag and use the For Sale section on here,I think Spen has a few sets of used ones for sale at the moment.
I would pay no more than £100 -£120 posted for a good used set of alloy hubbed Front and rear Tuffs.
For plastic  hub front and alloy hub rear  a bit less, say between £80 and £100 posted.
Recently I sold a grubby set of white alloy hubbed 80s Tuffs with NOS Shimano freewheel for £100 posted,I also had a set of white alloy hub rear and plastic hub front that had been bleached with very minor cracks with tyres and tubes that I just couldn't get rid of,ended up ebaying for £65 posted.

Cheers Ollie, yes I do have a few sets for sale but no Graphites :-\

http://www.radbmx.co.uk/forum/index.php'topic=176648

I recently sold a beautiful set of 50/50 (alloy rear hub, plastic front) white Tuffs form an '84 bike that I had aquablasted so they were minty for a ton but I knew the guy and he's a mate on here, so I'd say the prices are still ok.

Got a couple of sets of blue, a couple of yellow and a set of red that if they don't shift soon I will be stripping down, taking to the aquablasters and re-building and they will be a lot more than a ton a set.

So the answer is the price depends on if you want to do the work yourself and what you need them for - if you want NOS for a pony then you're fooked basically as they will cost you over £300 now and NOS Graphites you can name your price. If you want to ride them then shop around but expect to pay about £150 for minty ones and down to the £75 price tag I have on mine needing the cleaning / aquablasting.

And before anyone asks about aquablasting, its a sticky in the resto section but if you're too special to find it, here it is :2funny:
