1999 haro dave Mirra pro finished and not repainted
« on: September 07, 2014, 08:01 PM »
I've finally found a 1999 haro dave Mirra pro, only took 14 months lol
It needs a light restoration but its all original apart from the grips which I should be able to find
And it's hardly been ridden
Can't wait to get it sorted  :)

It's only original once - the scars make it more mid-school fella. Just my opinion though  :daumenhoch:

yeah, don't paint it! the scars make 'em cooler. i've done it in the past and it just doesn't feel the same as a bike with real paint.

Nice bike, I'm trying to think if it's a Mirra or Nyquist I have in my shed......??

Seen as I'll be moving in a couple of weeks I guess I'll soon have to have a clear ot of the shed again so it may just make me pull my finger  out and get it going again.... :D

I'll bet that'll come up all sparkly without a new paint job.  ;)
Give it a go before you make any rash decisions... I would.  :daumenhoch:

Update
Got the wheels back from my builder they look awesome
Then the kmc chain and sst oryg cables came in the post so I could get it finished
So here it is all original spec only thing I need is some bar ends but im not sure if they should be plastic plugs or alloy ones?

wow. how could you even consider repainting it, it looks as good as new! ----Although, after the 1st pic i thought it was very dark blue, that would've looked good, too though. but black's slick on this

Wheres the scars gone :D

Cheers dudes

It was pretty dull when i got it but i polished it with some autoglym and was surprised how well it came up
It has some scratches and chips but it still looks good now ive built it up
I think cause my last 2 builds the evel & condor had fresh mint paint i thought this should be up to the same standard

Spot on that - no idea what the factory bar ends would be but there's some black metal Pr1mo ones on t'bay at the mo that would suit?
