Z Rim restoration pic heavy

so i got these Z's on a TA i bought and i don't think I've ever seen a set as bad ,
i thought it would be good to try and save em , and this is what i did .
It turns out they are actually Mike Buffs dated 29/8/84
The first thing i did was scrub the hell out of em to remove the first layer of crap ,
Then i used a small orbital sander to remove the brake rub and reshape the rim ,
They were quite perished so sanding was the only way , starting with quite rough grades and getting finer each time ,
and although much better they were still discoloured , so as they are only gonna be for show , i got some
white vinyl dye spray and dusted loads of coats on em and they came out great along with new decals .
For the hubs i couldn't find a set of Z hubs and i couldn't find any white NON flip flop hubs ,
so i bought a set of pink suzue hubs from the bay for 20 quid stripped em and etch primed then painted white ,
This was also the first set of wheels I've ever laced and although not perfectly true they are plenty good enough for show .
anyway heres the pics
