Seen a few of these morales with opc's on too, was thinking about an oddy excaliber because I've got a dynatron headset & bb kicking around somewhere.  Would like some of them nice peregrine or primo type peggles so would like chainwheel suggestions please,  the weirder the better  :daumenhoch:

*sound of hurling*  :LolLolLolLol:

Not a fan of the 1-piece, but flatlanders love em. Chain wheel - small Graveyard sprocket or teeny KHE one would be good  :daumenhoch:

You thought of getting the Morales done in copper instead of the usual blue?

There were a few opc's about in the 90's, coz we were skint. I broke a couple. They were shite. I bought some 2nd hand profiles in early 92 and never ridden shitty one piece since.

Thought someone mentioned copper to me at mk !!!!!!
Been thinking along the lines of green/candy/metalflakey stuff, Dans sort of on the case thinking of something.
Quite like the idea of copper though  :chin:
When you say "small" chainwheel how small you talking & what cog am I gonna need ( bearing in mind I'm only rolling about) ???

AAAAARGH.....!!!

Danny is right about the flatlanders liking opc's, i think it was down to the availability of 160 and 165mm length arms, plus if they got bent when falling off or bike-throwing (damian mckenna) they were cheaper to replace.

If you are referring to the old school square taper bollox then I can understand why you hate 3pc. Mid 3pc like Flights, Profiles, Or GT's are worlds apart though, and look much more at home on a mid build. If you look around they dont cost too much either. Flatlanders did continue to run 1pc fro some time, but as Ben says it was more down to getting the shorter length.  :daumenhoch:

Agree with Ben about Flites (talked about it at MK whilst drooling at the front brake mod/Dan's paint job at MK  :) ) - the part of the bike you want (need) to be strong having frikkin pinch bolts on it when the pinch part takes all the side-on downward stress (as opposed to a aheadset stem with the force chucked away from the pinch) - boring eh  :LolLolLolLol:

Anyhow, them DNA cranks - you don't see a lot of em, came out in the late 90's alongside DNA chainwheels etc. They're not great, way cheaper than Profiles and would look the tits on a mid-priced late 90's bike like the later Heavy Tools stuff etc. Probably not on the Morales  :daumenhoch:

And back to the Morales - I'll do you better piccies when I'm back from oop North, but how about a Phil Dolan build (this is mid '96 but you get the idea). Clearcoat copper Morales:

And yes....he's got single pinchers on there  :LolLolLolLol:

Love Goat stems were the bow-locks bitd  :daumenhoch:

Big old phat pegs - either Standard Hand Grenades, or Indy pegs would be ace.

The only ones I have ever seen are 1" and 1 1/8th clamp on versions. So you would need an appropriate fork for them to work.
