Ok goat love looks very hard to find  :LolLolLolLol:
Any suggestions on something similar, I like the built in gyro tabs & the slabby chunky look.
Can use 1" or 1 1/8" with that conversion thing Clint found

Gone for wini's powerbites, as far as we could work out they're 97 98 ish  :crazy2:
Need some tenderisers or perry peds in 9/16th now though  "nono"
Other bits are
Probably them sun  bfr's from bmx city
Hp 406 repops
Fancy suntour roller cams but can't be arsed with fiddling with the potts mod bit  :yahoo_silent:
Got a nice pair of boas in my shite box anyway  :daumenhoch:
Jap stamped tech 77
Sticking with the bars, forks & seatpost
Need to sort out a chainwheel (no idea on size/make but needs to be funky)
Stem 1" or 1 1/8 can use either ( again needs to be funky too)
Chrome gyro (seem easy to get hold of)
Freewheel (suppose that depends on what chainwheel I end up with )
Would like some of that shiny/holographic brake cable stuff too
Apart from that it's nearly done  :LolLolLolLol:
Any suggestions/moans or general piss taking welcome guys

Right midschool kids need advice on the chainwheel n rear sprocket. These here graveyard things seem thin on the ground, any other suggestions ???
Also what teeth am  I after seen 39,36 & not keen on them really small buggers.  The one that was fitted (40 or 42 I think) was too big, so someone hammered a dent into the chainstay for clearance, hopefully Dans working his magic on that...
Gonna be running a primo 3pc now if that makes any difference. .....

Thanks in advance for any help fellas  :slayer:

The earliest mention of the powerbites ive seen is a few us shops advertising a new primo crank and call for info is june 97
The first picture ive found is december 97 and the first offical primo powerbite advert coming in january 98. Theres an advert for BFR's right next to the powerbite advert too so the rims are perfect era wise to the cranks.

looks like your nearly there dude.. :daumenhoch:

you will have to run a small front chainring as the frame is designed for them

I run 36t front 16t rear and it fine peddling wise ... 14t rear would be better

but I got a fooking gert big motorbike chain on mine so I have to run 16.... :D

I would get flip flop rear hub then you can try both.... ;)

what you doing for a seat...?

seat post clamp size is 34.9

and seat post size is 31.6

 :)

Your freewheel choice will depend on what hubs you have. Older mid hubs are normal oldschool thread size so the smallest you can use is a 16, or a 15 if you can find an AC Racing one (think i have a used one somewhere....) newer mid hubs will take the 30mm threaded freewheels. ACS make 14 and 15t, odyssey do a 13t. When you've sorted that, then you can choose a sprocket.
If you go 13t at the back, then you want 33,34,35 or 36 up front. If you go 14t then 37, 38, 39 is fine. 15t will suit 39 to 42.
You could go a tooth either way up front for build purposes but it might feel too easy or hard depending which way you go.
Basically, what gearing you can run depends on the hub, or if you have a specific front sprocket in mind or in hand, then you need the right hub to accept the corresponding freewheel.
Hope this makes sense!
I have a nice chunky black BSD sprocket in 38t (uncommon size) if you get stuck, but its for 19mm cranks only!! Ahh the joys of midschool compatibilities.....

That is very helpful fella,  just the kind of info I need   :daumenhoch:
Like the sound of black n chunky but I take it these primo cranks won't work with it  :'(

Noooooo they didn't - flatlanders used em, and generic bikes throughout time used em (and still do) but the majority of the mid to late 90's every bugger that rode anything other than a paper delivery round had a 3 piece crank. They became cheap enough by then for peeps to afford.

I might have a G-Sport Homer 14mm rear with a 14T cog on it, came out early 1998. Will have to check though if it's a LHD - am sorting through stuff at the weekend so will have a butchers.

Also got the matching front, but from memory it's also 14mm, and George ain't got any 10mm axles left  :daumenhoch:
