one positive thing is that ,   Eclat are flogging off all the 22mm two piece crank sets , loads of em on ebay,  under 60 squids bargain  :daumenhoch: , colors are limited but for that price who cares, check the tool is in the box though with the seller cos you'll have to wait for one to be sent out before fitting em if not   :tickedoff:  :tickedoff:    ;) ;)  :LolLolLolLol:

Fit bought out a 24mm crank set  last year. I'm in no way a heavy rider and would worry about how small the bearings will be. I had a frame with a euro BB and Primo 22mm cranks and the bearings were really thin.

It's Just more MTB standards being adopted, 31.8 mm bmx handle bars have been kicking around for a while, tapered head tubes and forks, 20mm wheel axles, bb30 bb shells.
To be honest, a lot of the "new" innovations are aimed at race bmx and not park/street. I'm with Gary on the 24mm cranks, to me, it would best with a euro external bb where a bigger bearing can be used.

It's no bad thing as long as there is a benefit. You have more choice but it's worth remembering that sticking with what you know is one of those choices :daumenhoch:
Whats the matter Kid, don't ya like clowns? Don't we make you laugh? Aint we fukkin funny?

now running a 22mm in a spannish bb will let you know how long the bearings last  :daumenhoch:  :LolLolLolLol:  can see me going back to the 19mm,   :-\

i often wonder if i should take more note of the saying "if it ain't broke"    :LolLolLolLol:
