Finally finished this baby after what seemed like an eternity fooking about with a stuck seat post! Bought the complete bike off Jas (holwuff) last year and ended up giving it a complete makeover- The only original part is the frame and forks!
I wanted it to look as close as I could to the '84 Freestylin' mag test bike, as if I had walked into a shop in '85 and bought it! The only thing not correct on the bike at the moment is the headset and the grips. I built the bike with an alloy Hatta MX100 but I have the correct black MX2 and I have the original equipment FUAN grips too, which incidentally are ALOT harder to find than Oakleys !!
I found this build fairly easy as far as sourcing parts was concerned or maybe I just got lucky. I had Del tweak the decals slightly to my requirements and Steve did his usual top job of the correct RL-20 frame pad, a detail which lets MANY U.S builds down in my opinion!
Special thanks to Del as usual, Steve (firebird) and Dave (brummie)
Anyway enough waffling, here are the pics!
