Trickstars have landed in Wigan!
« on: January 10, 2015, 08:52 PM »
Lenny (Badbaldie) has posted some of these up on facebook already. He's struggling to upload to photobucket so asked me to post them up to  :radbmxsmilie:.

As most of you radsters will know, the 1st prize for those who played the Toy Ride game in December was a Hutch Trickstar frame & forks, kindly donated by Alan Woods of the BMX institution that is Alans BMX in Wigan. Unfortunately the frames were in tansit halfway across the Atlantic when the draw was done. But now, the waiting is over. Here are some photographs courtesy of Lenny, who went to see Alan today. Old school meets new school  :4_17_5:

I'm no Trick Star fan, but that looks really nice.

I wonder on closer inspection how nice the welds and plating are compared to BITD?

Seen a mini shitstorm kicked up on the museum over chrome on the forks and peg room but it looks like a decent effort of mixing the old and new to me.
Sixteen thirty-two. What is that? A year?   No, it's your top score on Pole Position.

i really fancy one of these, I don't have any new school bikes, but think its a shame that they couldn't do a few sets with fork pegs and standers like the original?
When I was born, the world was a far simpler place.
It was all just cops and robbers.
And BMX.
