Motomags came out in 74'.OL Snaggletooth was a test rider for Bmx Products & RL being the main badass on Rick's team & Rick was one of the first guys to get motomags.I'm sure that front is a motomag Ash.You can tell by the hub & can defo see the motomag spoke pattern in the pic.The rear looks to be wire though.   :daumenhoch:

I have seen quite a few pictures of JP riding with a front and a pair of motomags wheels, so would make sense that he would be on that picture.

Well the JP shot was on the June 75' cover of  BMX news but Oz could have shot it earlier as it states a year in pics on the cover. There's also coverage of Saddleback where the pic was taken so it could be 75'.Be worth a check if anyone has this issue.

Looking at those pics of JP in 73' he looks half the size he does in the Saddleback pic.Must have eaten his Wheaties twice a day to sprout that big in a year.  :LolLolLolLol:

November 1970 was the first official BMX race held in California in a Motorcross track. The original event was organised by the OM under his newly formed B.U.M.S  ( Bicycle United Motocross Society ).

Most raced on converted stingrays etc.

From memory the first Looptail BMX was a Redline, Jeff Haney obviously owns that one.

10th July 1969
