Every bike is built to be ridden?

Every bike is "designed" for riding but not every bike is "built" to be ridden.

How can you "build" an un-rideable bike?  ;)

I have no idea. Why do you ask?

I was asking based on your reply that 'not every bike is "built" to be ridden' ... I don't think you can build a 'bike' that can't be ridden ( and it still be a bike ) but I take the point that some bikes are built from the perspective of the builder choosing not to ride them ... and they are therefore for 'show' only  :daumenhoch:

So I guess the definition of a 'show bike' is down to the owner  :)
