Lester mags... top tips needed
« on: June 20, 2014, 02:34 PM »
Alreet lads, looking for suggestions to maintain the raw shiney side/high spots on a set of lesters if they are powder coated. What do we reckon, labourious masking before powder or labourious dremeling after?

Sixteen thirty-two. What is that? A year?   No, it's your top score on Pole Position.

What about the masking tape pulling off the powder as you remove it?  >:D

I would wet spray them... then "draw file" across the top surfaces. I would imagine paint would be easier to work with than powder  :-\

Did think about paint as its easy to mask with a liquid mask but would prefer the harder wearing powder. I think sanding after powder is likely to be the best solution  :-\

Is it worth the hassle ? They look pretty tidy to me or is that a pic of their good side.  :)

Powder or paint then block sand after. If the braking surface is bad I would give them a sanding before you paint/powder then work your way through finer grades of paper.
