I've just spotted a set of bars I sold for £20 posted on here up for £60 + £13.50 postage on eBay

To be fair, i sent a set of MKII EZ bars a while ago through royal mail and they charged me £16 postage!      so an extra £4 for packaging/petrol/time??

You have to realise Nick, this is Ebay buddy. They clout the seller now on postage too, 13.4%, and it is about £10 - £12 to post bars through Royal Mail, signed for and insured.

Just had a quick look at Royal Mail and they want £12.98 to send as a large parcel 48hr .

I don't think you can send them normal recorded (medium parcel) due to size  unless there under 61cm wide .

Hermes will probably be cheaper .

That may be true Chris but some will choose not to.

I myself choose Royal Mail because I have a small PO next to my daughters school, it's never busy, she gives me the best prices and it I only ever post when I take her to school or pick her up so it's all in the same journey buddy. Thats just me though

There is always going to be contrary experiences, no matter what the service. I've only experienced problems with parcel farce.

I just logged into my myHermes account and i've sent 25 shipments in the last 4 weeks, all were delivered without a hitch.  I don't use them for anything over £200 though as they don't offer insurance.

There is one irrefutable benefit to using myHermes though which is I can sell stuff for cheaper as i'm charging c.70% less postage than Royal Mail which really makes a difference on low end parts
