Skyway front axle too wide for ripper and haro forks

Is it a good idea to take a file the axle to slim them down ?

Or take it too a machine shop ?

Wanted any condition pk ripper repop for my daily rider !

you can dremil them off but leave the nut on so you can recut the end of the threads once you've cut them down by unscrewing the nut  :daumenhoch:

put the wheel on the bike and tighten the nuts, hacksaw the end of the axle off leaving about 3-4 threads showing then unscrew the axle nuts to clean the thread. it's a 5 minute job.  :daumenhoch:

i want axle to be looking like this.  that is flattened - so I can get into front forks

Yep, take your time and it's a simple job with a file or grinder :daumenhoch:

Just wait till you have a 14mm Ti axle to fit into a 10mm frame slot...... now that was a bit of a sweat-on getting sorted :LolLolLolLol:

or wait till MK and buy one of my old front Tuffs for £10 which has a flat axle and use that?   :daumenhoch:
