New school squeakers will stick to those like shit to a blanket
If you want something period-correct then there's probably something by kool stop that will do the trick

As Griffums said - NS pads (as they're made from Playdough) but it'll be a squeek-a-thon.

DC pads are good, but you've gotta be some kind of messiah to toe em in properly, so buy these to use with em:

From the ever reliable W@nkstanleys (the reliable bit is a joke btw). Period correct and fooking ace.

Koolstop did do some crackin' pads back then - if you can find em, the coloured V-Brake pads (Eagle II's) are also spot on for brake-age as slightly softer compound than the black'ns :daumenhoch:

*edited to correct spullings and apologies for the over use of 'em'.

Kool stop Eagle II 'salmon' pads buddy. There is something in the compound that makes them want to grip. But you have to get them 'toe'd' in correctly or they don't work  :D

Are you sure the brake cable looking like it has scoliosis has nothing to do with this?!  :D

Hi mate. The cable movement is fine, it's pretty free with no harsh bends or kinks.... Just no friction between the pads and rims :(
